The popularity of the hyssop essential oil is growing, particularly at a time of current challenges. It’s a merit of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. This oil can detoxify the body, as well.
Hyssop is a plant of love, and often, as in Kosovo and Metohija, the bride bathes in freshwater or carries hyssop in her bosom to be lovely and to caress each other, she and the groom.

Product specifications
Internally, it contributes to the respiratory and digestive systems. Externally, it helps in rheumatism, bruises, wounds, pain in the ear and teeth. It promotes sweating.
This oil is a general tonic for nerves in blood pressure regulation. It provides support in anxiety and hysteria.
The British Herbal Pharmacopoeia listed hyssop as a special remedy for bronchitis and colds.
Mix some hyssop essential oil in your skincare preparations in case of dry and damaged skin. Then could occur reduced peeling, increased suppleness, and decreased water loss.
Some soaps, cosmetics, and perfumes contain this fragrant component, especially colognes and oriental bases.
It exists as a flavoring in sauces and spices. The hyssop essential oil gives a special aroma to some Chartres liqueurs.
- Nasal: Evaporation (diffusion) into indoor air (3-5 drops per 100ml of water). Dry or wet inhalation *
- Oral: Not recommended
- Topical: Diluted in cold pressed vegetable oil (carrier), up to a maximum of 2%. Two to three times a day, in a short period (not longer than three days). Drizzle a few drops of dissolved oil on a damp, heated compress and apply to insect bites, mildly irritated skin or muscle / joint pain. Pour up to 5 drops in a tablespoon of carrier oil and add this mixture to a warm water bath.

- In the nervous, hyperactive or people with high blood pressure
Check the susceptibility to allergies to natural compounds contained in small amounts in this essential oil (limonene and linalool).
General precautions
- Dosage in / on food: 1 drop (less than 2%).
- Not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, the elderly or people suffering from chronic diseases.
- Do not use in intravenous or intramuscular injections.
- Dilute before use.
- In case of tendency, perform an allergy test before use.
- Never heat for diffusion.
