Good spirit

hyssopus officinalis

The popularity of the hyssop essential oil is growing, particularly at a time of current challenges. It’s a merit of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. This oil can detoxify the body, as well.

Hyssop is a plant of love, and often, as in Kosovo and Metohija, the bride bathes in freshwater or carries hyssop in her bosom to be lovely and to caress each other, she and the groom.

Vladimir Bovan, Anthology of Serbian folk lyrics from Kosovo and Metohija, Jedinstvo, Priština, 1972, str.27)
